CARJ Wants people to use their rights

We believe that it is important to not take the right to vote, a right that many of our ancestors fought to realize, for granted. CARJ wants to help increase voter turnout in our community by providing both online tools and physical resources to help register and equip potential voters. With the upcoming election just three months away, it is critical for us to begin to pursue our voter engagement initiative. We are currently seeking to raise funds for the following:

  • a computer, which we can use to allow people without internet access to do things like request a mail-in ballot
  • voter information pamphlet, design and printing
  • online voter tools to register, check registration, and request an absentee ballot
  • table and supplies for setting up booths at Farmer’s Markets and other events

CARJ will use any additional funds for the purpose of running our organization and pursuing our other initiatives which include a job readiness program, anti-racism education, and hosting an annual Juneteenth celebration for the community.
